This sounds like a good idea, I
appreciate the efforts of all involved. I want to Thank the association for all
it has done for the promotion of the lake area, and especially the people in the
visitors center, who have provided information on Candlewyck to visitors
stopping in. On several occasions it has provided opportunities for us to be of
service to visitors to the lake. We have received comments several times about
how friendly and helpful the people at the visitors center are, they should be
commended for their efforts, they should be renamed each as "Director of First
Impressions" because indeed they truly are.

Hello, last weekend myself and three friends had a long girls
weekend trip to Grand Lake. We stayed in Grove at Lee’s Resort. I just wanted to
say thank you for the great time we had and if possible put out a few special
thank you. First of all, we would like to say thanks to the gang at Elk River
Landing for having the patience to help four women get a boat in and out of the
water!!! You didn’t have to be so nice and helpful, but you were. Thanks to
Jerry at Cedar Point Marina for helping us get our battery charges and then not
charging us! Lastly thanks to a wonderful gentleman named Bob who was also at
Lee’s who took the time to help us get the boat into the slip and teach us how
to tie it up properly. The people we met in town were wonderfully nice and no
one was ever too busy to not carry on a conversation or ask where we were from
and that meant the world to us. Thanks again for the great time and we will
definitely try to get back again.
