The Bernice Area at Grand Lake State Park is located on the northwestern corner of Grand Lake O' the Cherokees. Known as the "Crappie Capitol of the World", the park also offers fishing for largemouth bass, white bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. Guests will find semi-improved RV sites and primitive tent sites, comfort stations with showers, two lighted boat ramps, picnic areas, two playgrounds, swimming and a Nature Center at Bernice Area. The Park also includes a 66-acre wildlife refuge with a one mile handicap accessible paved nature trail, two watchable wildlife towers, interpretive signage, and rest benches along the way to soak in the views of beautiful Grand Lake. The Park is located one-half mile east of Bernice on SH 85A.
